Hi! I’m Carlos Andrickson, I’m an actor living in New York City.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York by a single mother, through witnessing her I learned what it meant to be loyal to family, ask questions people are afraid to ask in search for the truth of the people in that moment, and how to be aware of the needs of others around you. I always had an intense love and affinity for martial arts I practiced Taekwondo for the majority of my life which fed my body and mind and I eventually reached the National level of Competition. While not competing I fed my creative side by watching the performances of film actors like Robin Williams, Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat and Bruce Lee. At the beginning of my last semester in my undergrad program I found myself ready to take on a new kind of challenge in my life and found a hidden love for acting in my final year. Bolstered by an amazing mentor at Queens College, Claudia Feldstein, I auditioned for Graduate programs and got accepted into the American Conservatory Theater. I had many amazing acting opportunities during my time there, met many incredible teachers and even had my wedding on A.C.T.’s Rembe Stage, the first wedding in the theatres history. I come from a family of incredibly strong women including my amazing wife April who support and inspire me every day to do fearless work. Having received my MFA in 2019 and armed with a whole new arsenal of skills I am ready to embark on any adventure that comes my way with gratitude, joy, empathy and a wildly free imagination.

I’m a huge fan of giant worlds where the problems are larger than life and the characters have to go beyond their normal limits to tackle their obstacles. Some of my favorite worlds like this are the in Marvel Universe but particularly Ultimate Spiderman, Amazing Spiderman, and Daredevil. In film worlds created by Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Alfonso Cuarón and Alejandro G. Iñárritu. In Animation almost any Film by Disney, Samurai Champloo, Hajime No Ippo, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Yu-Yu Hakusho and almost any Studio Ghibli film. On the flip side small intimate worlds where the characters are so intertwined and wonderfully alive and complex really stimulate the other half of my acting values. Worlds like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Better Call Saul, and anything written by Stephen Adley Gurguis, Jose Rivera, Rajiv Joseph, and Kenneth Lonergan.
